Remove the ice from the Nick and Nora glass, and use a hawthorn strainer to strain the mixture into the glass

Garnish with a cocktail cherry, leaving the stem on

'Southern Sky'

A celebration of sophistication. 'Southern Sky' is a delicate balance of Salcombe Gin Rosé Sainte Marie's floral and red berry sweetness, with the cherry citrus of Knightor Rosé Vermouth and sharp raspberry of Chambord, infused with an earthy thyme backbone. Its glorious peach colour is reminiscent of a low winter sunset over the Mediterranean Sea.

Chill a Champagne saucer with ice and place to one side

Place the 'Rosé  Sainte Marie', vermouth and thyme infused Chambord into a mixing jug, fill with ice and stir with a bar spoon for 20 seconds

Remove the ice from the champagne saucer and use a julep strainer to strain the mic into the glass

Top with your favourite Champagne

*To make the thyme infused Chambord, add 3 sprigs of thyme to half a bottle of Chambord and leave in the fridge for four days, shaking every day. Strain through a fine mesh sieve to carefully remove the thyme.

The UKs leading convenience retailer Co-op has exclusively unveiled its 2023 Christmas food and drink ranges, highlighting a line-up of exciting new products landing across its 2,400 stores throughout the festive period.

This year, the Co-op’s Christmas ranges and products have been specially created with the convenience shopper in mind, based on a firm belief that convenience shopping shouldn’t mean compromising on quality, value or values.

From easy-to-cook party foods to a ready-prepared stuffed turkey joint for two that’s ready to pop into the oven. Each product within the Christmas range has been carefully selected for its great taste,  shoppers can enjoy Co-op's delicious Irresistible party food range, made only with the finest of ingredients. 

The range also firmly stays true to the Co-op’s ethical and sustainable values as it's extended its offering to include more outdoor-bred British pork and responsibly sourced Scottish salmon, too.

Also, there will be exclusive member pricing across a range of lines this year and shoppers can take advantage of a ‘2 for £5.50’ multi-buy offer across the standard party food range.

Tesco supports the Morocco earthquake and Libya floods humanitarian response

Tesco has combined forces with the British Red Cross to provide urgent, vital assistance to people who have been impacted by the devastating earthquake in Morocco and the sudden flooding in Libya.

The £250,000 donation from the Tesco Group will be critical to the charity’s Disaster Fund, which helps the British Red Cross respond to disasters in the UK and also around the world.

In the next few days, customers across the UK will also be able to support via text to give donations of either £5, £10 or £15. 

Customers will also be able to donate online at Tesco.com or with their Clubcard vouchers, using the Clubcard app.

Ken Murphy, who is the Group CEO at Tesco said: “We were obviously deeply shocked and saddened to see the pictures and stories from Morocco since this disaster occurred on Friday night and now the tragic extent of the situation in Libya."

“I know many Tesco colleagues are already looking to provide support and assistance, and we're very pleased to be able to work with the British Red Cross to give financial support that directly helps local teams on the ground."

Richard Blewitt, Executive Director of International for the British Red Cross, said: “On behalf of the British Red Cross I would like to thank everyone at Tesco for their generous donations that will go towards supporting people in a disaster, such as the devastating earthquake in Morocco and the terrible flooding in Libya."

He went on to say: “Thousands of people have lost their lives in these disasters, and many more have lost loved ones, their livelihoods and their homes. Sadly the full scale of the destruction in both countries is only likely to become apparent in the coming days. 

"We're really pleased and delighted to have Tesco colleagues and customers by our side to help those most in need. We could not do this without you. Thank you once again for your kindness and generosity.”
