Stuck for presents? Have a look at Amazon

Yes, everyone knows, it's best to shop locally, especially at Christmas time.

But what if the town or village you live in doesn't have any shops that have any suitable Christmas presents for sale?

Of course, years ago one high street I know of had three TV and radio shops, two menswear shops, a gift shop, a craft shop, a haberdasher's shop, two bakers, Woolworths, two jewellers and more.

Now all of the above shops have closed down for a wide range of reasons, we have a jeweller's shop a supermarket and several charity shops and that's about it. 

So, what to do? How about Amazon? Interestingly enough many small businesses up and down the country use Amazon Marketplace as their virtual shop window so if you do buy from Amazon you will, after all, be helping a small businessman or woman.
