It was founded in 2014 by its CEO Adam Fox-Edwards, starting in a small building at his family's hotel on the Devon/Cornwall border before moving, in 2020, to much larger premises at Milford Farm near Lifton in Devon.
Sustainability plays a big part in the Devon Hampers ethos with electricity coming from PV panels on the roof, water from a borehole. All cardboard is recycled and bubble wrap is decompostable.
