Smart Festive Cooking and Preparation Hacks for a Stress-Free Christmas Feast

Christmas should be about joy, laughter, and togetherness, not about feeling frazzled in the kitchen. 

With a few clever tricks and smart preparation hacks, you can enjoy a smooth and stress-free festive season without compromising on the magic of a hearty Christmas feast.

1. Plan Your Menu Early

Don’t leave decisions until the last minute. Plan your full Christmas menu by the start of December – from the canapés to dessert. Write down what can be made ahead, what needs fresh preparation, and what can be frozen. This way, you avoid last-minute dashes to the shops and ensure every dish has its place.

Write out a timetable for Christmas Day: when the turkey goes in, when to prep the veg, and when desserts need to come out of the fridge. Pin it up somewhere visible. It keeps you on track – and stops you from feeling overwhelmed.

10. Remember: It Doesn’t Have to Be Perfect
