Whatever the weather the town glows brightly on this special night, with choirs singing carols around the Christmas Tree, Brass Bands playing, Christmas lights twinkling, chestnuts roasting and the aroma of mulled wine.
There will be over 100 stalls cover the Market Square, spread up the High Street, fill the Market Hall and expand over Little Common.
With Town Centre shops offering late night shopping and The Olive and Stitch Market hosting further stalls within Town Hall there is a wealth of goods on offer.
The market runs from 3pm until 8pm and features hand made or decorated goods and home grown, cooked or reared produce along with Fair Trade wares.
