The latest Yoto Player and Yoto Mini are made for children aged three and over. They’re simple for little hands to use, with physical controls that let children choose what to listen to and enjoy a little more independence throughout the day.
Stories, songs and a new Green Button
Yoto Cards remain at the heart of the experience. Children pop a card into the player to hear a story, album, podcast or activity. With more than 1,000 titles to explore, there’s plenty to suit different ages and interests, from Julia Donaldson and Disney to Roald Dahl and Harry Potter.
The new fourth-generation players add another way to listen: the Green Button. Once an adult has set it up in the free Yoto App, children can twist and press to browse a personal playlist of up to 20 favourite titles, without needing to find the right card. Families can set up different favourites for daytime and night-time, making it easy to have a podcast ready for breakfast and a calming story queued up for bedtime.
Children can also make listening personal. The included Make Your Own Card can be linked to audio in the app, including recordings made by family members. Imagine a grandparent reading a favourite story or leaving a special message for Christmas morning.
A helping hand with family routinesThe Yoto Player is designed for more than story time. Its full-panel night light, clock and okay-to-wake cues can support bedtime and morning routines. Families can also find free podcasts, radio, sleep sounds and timers in the app, alongside controls for managing the player.
Yoto says its players have no camera, microphone or adverts. The app lets grown-ups manage settings, while children can listen through the player’s own speaker or compatible headphones.
Ready for home or the journey
The Yoto Player 4th Gen is the larger home option, with stereo sound and a built-in night light. The smaller Yoto Mini 4th Gen is designed for travel. It has a water- and dust-resistant design, making it a handy companion for car journeys, holidays and visits to family.
Both new models have 64GB of storage for more than 1,000 hours of audio, so compatible content can be downloaded for offline listening. Each also comes with a USB-C charging cable and a Make Your Own Card.
The Yoto Player 4th Gen costs £119.99, while the Yoto Mini 4th Gen costs £89.99. Check Yoto’s website for current availability and details:
