Nervous of having a Christmas holiday Abroad? Try this!

Across Europe, “Tourists Go Home” has become one of the defining images of the growing backlash against overtourism.

Graffiti. Protests. Residents pushing back against visitors in some of the world’s most popular destinations.

But over the past few days, something unusual started appearing on the streets of Barcelona, Lisbon and Rome.

The familiar “Tourists Go Home” message was being hijacked.

TOURISTS GO VISIT SAUDI.

The intervention is part of a new campaign from Saudi Tourism, taking one of the most provocative conversations happening in global travel right now and turning a message of rejection into an invitation.

It’s a simple cultural juxtaposition: while some of the world’s most established destinations are grappling with having too many tourists, another is actively asking them to come.

Rather than creating another conventional tourism campaign, Tourists Go Visit Saudi inserts itself directly into a conversation already playing out on Europe’s streets.
