Tell Your Christmas Story with ScentAir Fragrance for Home

Few things transport us back in time like scent. A hint of pine, a swirl of cinnamon, or the sweetness of cranberry can instantly bring back the warmth of Christmases past.

With ScentAir®’s holiday collection, every fragrance tells a story, helping you relive treasured memories or create new ones to cherish for years to come.

“Fragrance has a remarkable way of connecting us to the past. More than just a scent, it’s a collection of personal memories,” Stephanie Soittoux, Manager of EMEA Marketing and eCommerce at ScentAir told That's Christmas.

“Each note is chosen to spark emotion and connection.

"From the refreshing scent of pine to the cosy warmth of vanilla and mulled spices, our holiday collection invites you to rediscover meaningful moments and build new traditions that feel uniquely yours—all through the art of fragrance.”

Scents That Tell a Story

The fragrance of Christmas morning

Pine Forest captures the unmistakable freshness of fir balsam and winter citrus, like the moment a freshly cut tree fills the room with its first burst of green.

The comfort of festive baking

Cornucopia and Cranberry Apple Marmalade wrap tart fruits, cinnamon, and clove in soft vanilla, echoing the aroma of puddings, pies, and bustling kitchens.

A toast to festive cheer

Noel combines sparkling citrus, fresh fir balsam, and sweet red berries with warm holiday spices. It’s the perfect complement to laughter, shared eggnog, and holiday cheer with loved ones.

The heart of Christmas

Season’s Greetings blends juicy orange, cinnamon, and clove with rich fir balsam and cedar boughs—the fragrance of cosy evenings, twinkling lights, and that unmistakable warmth of Christmas that lingers long after the last carol fades.

A modern winter twist

With notes of grapefruit, apple, and soft musk, Frosted Fir offers a crisp, contemporary take on tradition—a scent that feels as at home in a minimalist flat as a country cottage.

How to Give the Perfect Perfume This Christmas – Without Getting It Wrong

Perfume is one of the most luxurious and personal Christmas gifts you can give. A beautifully wrapped bottle under the tree feels thoughtful, indulgent, and special.

But choosing the right fragrance can be a minefield. Scents are intensely personal, tied to taste, mood, and even memories. What smells heavenly to you might feel overwhelming or dull to someone else.

Some types of fragrances don't work on all skin types. And my wife prefers oil-based perfumes to alcohol-based perfumes.

So how do you make sure your loved one gets the perfect perfume without the risk of a gifting faux pas? The answer is simple: a pre-paid perfume gift card.

Why Perfume Gift Cards Make the Ideal Christmas Present

1. No Guesswork, Just Choice

When you give a perfume gift card, you remove the pressure of trying to guess someone’s signature scent. They can browse, test, and decide for themselves, ensuring they’ll walk away with a fragrance they’ll truly love.

2. A Luxurious Shopping Experience

Buying perfume is more than a transaction – it’s an experience. From sampling spritzes at the counter to discovering new fragrance families, your recipient gets to enjoy the full indulgence of perfume shopping, all thanks to your gift.

3. Works for Every Budget

Whether you’d like to give a little treat or a full designer fragrance, most perfume retailers offer gift cards starting from modest amounts, making them flexible for all price ranges.

4. Perfect for In-Store or Online

Many retailers now allow gift cards to be used both online and in-store, so whether your loved one enjoys the bustle of a high street beauty hall or the ease of online shopping, they’re covered.

5. No Waste, No Returns

Perfume is one of those gifts that often can’t be exchanged once opened. A gift card avoids the risk of ending up with an unused bottle gathering dust at the back of a dressing table.

Where to Find Perfume Gift Cards

In the UK, you can find pre-paid perfume gift cards at:

The Perfume Shop – available online or in-store.

Boots – covering their wide fragrance range, from celebrity scents to designer names.

House of Fraser & Selfridges – ideal for luxury fragrance counters.

John Lewis – perfect for high-end perfume lovers.

Rituals - absolutely idea for people who have very high standards and like being pampered.

A Thoughtful Twist: Make It Personal

If you’re worried a gift card feels impersonal, make it part of a curated gift. For example:

Pair the card with a beautifully wrapped scented candle or body lotion.

Tuck it inside a festive card with a handwritten note about how much you want them to find a scent that’s truly them.

Present it in a Christmas cracker or inside a small jewellery box for a fun surprise.

The Gift of Scent, Without the Stress

This Christmas, take the stress out of buying perfume and let your loved ones choose the fragrance that makes them feel their very best. A perfume gift card is practical, personal, and still carries all the sparkle and indulgence of a luxury present.

A luxury scented candle from Loriest is the perfect and meaningful Christmas gift; reminisce what has been and to celebrate what is to come.

Make the chaps Smell well this Christmas!

Debenhams has revealed the results of new research which show that a man's choice of fragrance alters dramatically with advancing years, resulting in men in their sixties and above selecting and piling on the strongest of scents.

The sense of smell weakens in people who are their sixties hence why older generations prefer impactful, longer lasting perfumes, often opting for classic, masculine pongs from the likes of Aramis and Davidoff.

Unlike today's man who on average begins to use cologne from the age of 14 years old, sexagenarians and their older brothers didn't grow up wearing fragrance and most men in this age group (77 per cent) claimed to only start wearing aftershave at the age of 30 years old.

Now that wearing scent is an acceptable part of everyday male grooming, it seems those born in 1951 and earlier are making up for lost time and 'splashing it on all over' with 56 per cent saying they respray three times a day, more than any other age group.

Ruth Attridge, spokesperson for Debenhams said: "No longer the fusty Steptoe or the less-than-fragrant Compo, the older generation has embraced the fragrance hall and is creating a buzz in the beauty industry.

"Choosing a signature scent can be a challenge whatever your age however, before reaching for another spritz, we'd always advise remembering that a 'man doesn’t have to try too hard'."

The older generation still has a little way to go to match up to their sons in their late twenties and thirties. Research has shown that 63 per cent of men in this age group have a 'fragrance wardrobe' of five or more scents, with men citing "mood", "occasion" and "trend" for why they experiment.

They were also the age bracket most likely to be influenced by the women in their life with 71 per cent of men claiming their wife or girlfriend has a say in their smell.

Despite their bad rap for piling on the pong, it is fresh, often unisex fragrances that are bought most frequently by men in their teens and early twenties. Bottle design and association with celebrities and sports proved major motivations for purchases in this age group.

As men reach their forties and fifties, sex sells resulting in a sales boom for the spicy and musky fragrance sector. The baby boomers have ascertained what fragrance they like and therefore spend more but buy less, investing in premium, designer brands such as Chanel, Tom Ford and Bvlgari.

Attridge added: "This research is massively important as we enter the Christmas shopping period.

"Fragrance is one of our most popular gifts for men and we can now provide further training for our fragrance consultants to help busy shoppers pick the right perfume, whether it's for your Great Uncle Bob or your image-conscious teenage son.

"We will be managing our stock levels accordingly to make sure that no one ends up with a dusty bottle of Old Spice left on the shelf year after year."
